Outcomes that compensate Whistleblowers’ courage for coming forward.
We help Whistleblowers across the nation who choose to come forward with evidence of their employers or others trying to defraud the government. The Federal False Claim Act contains a qui-tam provision that encourages private citizens to come forward and sue on behalf of the government to recover losses created by the corrupt conduct. Some states have enacted similar laws that also contain certain qui-tam providers. Whistleblowers are eligible to recover from 15% to 30% of the amount recovered by the government. Once a qui-tam lawsuit is filed, the law provides certain protection for the Whistleblower including protection from retaliation in there workplace.
We also represent Whistleblowers who can confidentially provide information about tax fraud or tax underpayments to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The IRS Whistleblower reward provisions require information about the tax fraud or underpayment to exceed two million dollars (including, tax, penalties and interest) to qualify. Whistleblowers can receive a reward of 15% to 30% of the amount the IRS collects as a result of the information provided.
